Mughal's hugely influenced the block printing art in the country and since then the technique has been hugely popular across the world. The Sanganeri region near Jaipur, characterized by the use of multiple colors by layering them on a plain or dyed fabric. This garment has been created with a pink mul-mul fabric, with floral motifs in a repeated pattern to form a continuous design or “jaal”. The five colors are layered one by one on the fabric with wooden blocks by the master-craftsman to give life to the print and then finally with a block that outlines the pattern giving it a finished look.
